Help!

About ten years ago there were a series of ads running for Blackburn trainers that featured a Picture of Charles "Mile-a-minute-Murphy" riding some old oversized rollers with a 'Mile meter" in the background. They appeared in Velo news, but like an Idiot I threw away all my old issues. Does anyone know where I could find a copy of this picture? I've done many web searches and come up empty handed. Books on cycling history, perhaps????

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks, Tom

Tom,

Mile a minute Murphy raced with Major Taylor back in
something like 1901 in a vaudevill act. He got the nickname from riding behind a train in Long Island NY did the mile in 57 4/5 seconds, amazing when you think that
he did this in 1899.
Can't find any pictures tho. Did you try writing to Velonews?
