Anyone had a good experience with a local wheelbuilder? I need a full rebuild, new spokes, tentioned, dished, retentioned, ect. I'm looking for a real craftsman that I can trust. ;)

I had a set built at Houston Bicycle Company a year ago on for my cyclocross, they are one tough set of wheels. I have taken them on mtb trails and improper curb hoping and don't even bother avoiding potholes anymore with these wheels. Have been extremely happy with them probably got 3,000+ miles on them.

I ended up taking the set to West End Bikes. Cost for total rebuild, just under $160 with new bearings for the rear. I've only been out on a couple of short rides with them, so far so good.

email this guy at spinningobjects@gmail.com
his name is kirby and i had him build me a complete bike. I found him on CL awhile back but he does a good job and will warranty his work too. He works out of a boat shed in east houston but he's good and cheap.
