My friend just broke my Manitou Six fork, he some how manages to break the R arch while the bike was in his car. Think I should go for the warrenty (if its covered) or try to get a new fork?

How was the bike positioned in the car? and was the wheel in or not?

Go for the warranty UPGRADE! See if your LBS will upgrade the fork for you.

Would it be wise to upgrade bike fork, brakes (GF Marlin 03) or get a whole new bike.

Ask your shop to send it in for warranty replacement. While talking to them, see if Answer/Manitou will give you a credit for the SIX and will send you a let's say, Black Comp at a discounted price.

Who knows?

Then of course there is always the get the new fork back and eBay the sucker!
