I was wondering how the community has felt about their dealings with Cynergy (in Santa Monica). Thanks in advance for your input!

I love this shop. They are not the cheapest shop on the block, but their service has been impeccable. The staff is knowledgeable, and friendly, and not snobby. The service department is the best one I've been to outside of IMartin when I went there before they were bought up by Helens.
I've sent several of my friends there to get bikes and they report the same excellent service.
I paid for a fitting there about 1.5 years ago, and have been back several times to check the fit for which they didn't charge.
I could go on and on. Let me know if you have specific questions.
One of my teammates was complaining about one of their riders at the Chuck Pontius crit yesterday. Oh you mean the store? no idea...

Yeah, the staff there are as friendly and knowledgeable as it gets. Very fine shop though it's unfortunate that they're pretty much a Specialized retail store and thus lack some variety. They fitted my girlfriend for a bike and spent tons of time helping her even though they knew she had to buy it from Helen's.
My favorite though is Veloworx. The owner is always there and handles all your questions and delicate repair jobs himself. He's respoked a wheel for me same-day so i could race the next.

They also carry Bianchi :) I like the store a lot - reiterating that the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and cares. I once spent a good 30 minutes just talking tech with one guy even though he knew I wasn't going to buy anything at the time. The majority of the staff draws out from the former Supergo. Once Performance bought out the old SM store, the manager opened up Cynergy and most of the staff went with him.
Coincidentally, I've got an appointment for a full on pro fitting there this Wednesday, and I'm looking forward to it.
They've got Ridley, and Time as well... certainly no shortage of the good stuff. I can recommend them for service and various bike odds and ends. Have never bought a bike there or had a fitting.

indeed, Veloworx is great.
I like Cynergy and Helen's too.
my problem is too many good shops nearby...

Which store is this? Is it Sukuen's shop on Venice with the vintage Masi on the wall? If so, that is my absolute favorite Westside bike shop!

i like cynergy.
Nice shop. When I was looking for a road bike, they were exceptionally nice and informative. It was my first road bike purchase so I obviously had a lot of questions. Problem is, for the intro bike purchase, they only carry Specialized bikes. I ended up going with a Cannondale, so I had to head down the street to Helen's. Helen's is HORRIBLE. I luckily got a nice guy to help me out, but subsequent times that I have visited the shop, they have been a**holes.
Today when I was at the shop buying some CO2 (its on the way home for me), a little kid came into Helen's to get a flat tire fixed. The kid was by himself, no parents around, he must have lived close. The kid must not have been older than 12. The idiot at the service desk wouldn't pay attention to the kid at all! Poor kid was about to cry. Luckily a couple of nice folks jumped in and bought the kid a tube and changed it for him, right in front of the service desk. How embarrassing for the shop. Shame on Helen's.

cynergy's great, just ask Patrick Dempsey
aside from that, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, they don't bother you when you tell them you don't need help, they help when you ask for it.
only downside is parking there...

For what it's worth, their team/club riders are always really friendly and cool. One of them--at least someone in Cynergy kit w/pink hair--did me a real solid on Washington this morning and ran interference for me with DWP truck that would've pinned me otherwise, since I was tired and too slooooow to beat it. (If anybody knows that guy, btw, will you tell him random commuter person said thanks? I've got a soft spot for punk-rock boys on bikes and he totally cemented it.)
Their riders reflect well on the shop, is all I'm sayin'. Dr. McDreamy aside.
