Road Cycling - Would Like To Beat....

As browsing internet cycling sites now accounts for more of my recreation time than actually spent venturing out on the roads, i thought the online cycling competition on the 'Beat Me' section of http://www.overcompetitive.com might give me the opportunity to re-live some past glories and enjoy a short reign as one of their champions. Alas, i can't post anything to beat anything on there?

Anybody know of any other interactive internet sports sites for people who really should get out more?

I didn't see any mention of the terrain on some of these 'records'... seems like one could pick their course carefully and then even an average rider like myself could beat some of these.

PS the short distance running times flat out suck

I emailed the site and they require some sort of proof ie results sheet etc before they print stuff. They said the whole point was to show your the best until proven otherwise in the true spirit of 'overcompetitiveness' regardless of the circumstances of your result.

I suppose being a cheap 'champion' is still better than nothing and until Lance Armstrong stumbles across the site there's a chance for us all to reign supreme!

I'd go on there and enter something but i'm too rubbish.....
