I'm seeing a few mileage threads so lets get them all out in the open!:D I'm a little behind the norm cause my midweek rides have been stripped from me. But I'm still doing ok!:p

I've got 1199 and my Athena has racked up 956 since the beginning of the year!

C'mon, spill the beanz!:D

I've been slacking this year due to an injury and a hospitalization, so I only have 1635 miles to date and 518 miles for the month.. .........

What's funny is that your slacker month is only a couple miles less than my Bust My Kiester To Do It Month.

528 for the month, and 1307 for the year.

I am so behind due to work and some other personal issues: 625.23. I am 600 miles behind last year. This is sucking big time.

I'm slighty ahead this year with 2,803 miles and 82,400' of climbing

I'm really slacking. Only 490 so far. I just started back after about 2 months not riding at all. Although my weight is about 202, I have lost some speed and conditioning the last 2 months.

Let's see 144 miles this year, yeah I know it's not that much, I was at 85 last year at this time, so I am slightly ahead of last year, I did just over 1200 miles last year, and want to at least 1800 this year, so I am on target for that. The problem that seems to be developing this year is that longer rides are planned for Friday and Saturday, and we seem to be getting into the weather pattern of nice Monday-Thursday then it clouds up Thursday night and rains until late on Sunday.:mad::mad: Guess the fenders may get a workout this year, it's not the rain that's the big bother, it's the fact it's been cold too...... Got some vacation time coming up, so want to get in at least one good ride then.....

987 for the year and 328 for this month, 180 of those on the MS150. I have a century planned for May and one in June so my numbers will increase. The weather down here has been pretty good, hopefully it will stay that way.

I'm hoping for a 500-700 mile week this summer, at least once. If my butt can stand it, I may try for a weeks worth of Centuries. :p

If I do decide to do it, I'll be issuing a "Match me" challenge to the rest of ya! :D

1343 for the year, 515 for the month so far.

I'm hoping for a 500-700 mile week this summer, at least once.

After the "1000 mile month challenge" recently made the rounds, I wondered if a "7 century week" was achievable. Go, Tom!

253 This year, however 143 are this month. My goal is to increase by 25 a month. Gotta start somewhere. I am using bikejournal as well, seems good so far.

It is achievable. RAAM soloists average 300+ for 10 days straight.

For the month, 246 -- the first month I've ever biked more than 130 since starting last August. For the year, 631. Was shooting for 1200 this year, looks like I'll have to raise that goal.

By the way, did anyone notice that Spinner Saturday has topped 40 thousand already? :D

Mr. Beanz

I'd have a tough time right now. I go to the gym with my daughter 4 nights a week so my midweek riding is very limited. Only open day is Friday, then I ride Sat's and Sundays. Even if I didn't go to the gym for a week, not sure if I could handle a century every other day!:o

You talking all outdoor miles? I think my best is 960 miles in a month. 500 in a week?

1013 miles for the year. I lost several weeks to ice on the roads and a bad headcold. I am hoping for 4,500 for the year. I recently gained a spurt of strength and endurance and am hoping to do about 110 miles per week for the rest of the year.

776.41 this year, 195 this month. I'm aiming for an average of 200 miles a month and have set a goal of 2008 miles for the year.
I'm using mycyclinglog.com to track miles. Bikejournal is restricted from my office so have no idea if it's better.

A Scottish fella just went 18,000 miles around the world in 195 days, so he did a century every day for about 7 months.

520 for the year, I am going to have to step it up to get my goal of 3000. We have had some bad weather this year that has not helped any.

A total of 238.4 so far this year, most of it done Jan through mid-Feb when I started getting hit by what turned out to be an allergy to something in the air at the gym. On my next ride, hopefully this afternoon, I'll pass my dismal 2007 total of 249.8.

540 so far -- haven't ridden in 2 weeks due to illness (stomach flu and now a nasty cold that comes with a hacking cough). Target is 3k for the year.

153.7 miles this year. I didn't have a bike until 4/7/08 so I think I am doing ok.

Nice, a "who has the biggest chicken" thread!

Maybe 400 or 500 total for the year but I didnt start riding until a month and a half ago. By mid June I'll be somewhere around 3,000 (due to a tour) and I'm hoping to top 5k for the year, maybe a little more.

A few of my bikes dont have speedo's so I'll never get an exact number.

Off topic, well off the mileage topic, but on the chicken topic, I just heard an Elvis Presely song (I have a big mix on the MP3 player) and the lyrics are "I've never kissed a bear, I've never kissed a goon, but I can shake a chicken in the middle of a room, let's have a party..." huh?

Man, you're making me jealous :p Looks like a fun tour :D You're going to be riding some tough hills there in WV! Watch for coal trucks though, they do the Rolls-Canardly thing on big hills. Roll really fast down the hill and canardly get up the next. :p

Well, April isn't over yet...

But since I have my rides planned for tonight and tomorrow morning, barring any surprises here are the numbers...

YTD

Distance: 1,300 miles
Time: 78:55:58
Ascent: 48,695 ft

April

Distance: 359 miles
Time: 21:04:07
Ascent: 9,471 ft

Dropped from 186 lbs to 182 lbs in April

My goal for this year is 3500 miles. I'm ahead of that pace right now. Hopefully that will continue...

yea no doubt about the hills. Skyline and the blue ridge has some big ones too. The good thing about that though is that you can just head down into the valley and ride there if you get tired of the hills.

A few years ago I rode montreal to philly coming through the adirondaks, lake placid, then later the catskills. The hills can really bring your daily milage down, or your riding time up depending on which you decide to do. They sure make you feel fast when you get home and ride in the flats again though!

btw in my map i'd be starting in southeast pa(my home) and heading south first, so we'd have a few days of flats to get ready for the hills. My map doesnt make that very obvious.

That's pretty much what my assumption was....I know the country up there...I drove a truck for 25 years. ;) I was presuming a few days on the flats to acclimate the body. yea no doubt about the hills. Slow start around here due to long, cold winter. No trainer for indoor so only 123 miles outdoor so far. Not great if I am going to make my goal of 1500 miles for the year! I am well on my way to the 250 miles of running that I set for a goal, as I have been able to get them in and have 109 miles on the shoes so far.

If you look at Winchester, VA and follow west til you come to your route, that looks pretty close to where I live in Capon Bridge, WV! Also, I'm a weakling compared to you guys, I've only done 196 miles since Feb 24th. However my goal for the year was 500, so I think I"m going to beat that by a long shot. So far, 148 have been in April.

A bit over 350 mi so far for me this year, but the New England winter has been long and I've only been riding regularly since the start of this month. Planning to break 2000 miles this year, my second season of riding (last year did 1600 mi).
