Waggin Trail Ride (http://www.waggintrailbikeride.com/wtbr/waggintrailbikeride.aspx), apparently a animal shelter benefit...I know I've talked about 2 rides "I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go!" then bailed out...but I really do want to go to this one. :D I'll be heading down on Friday night.

I was going to go but am having foot problems so Im off the bike till atleast next week...
As it turns out, there's a good reason there were no reviews anywhere on teh internet about this ride. It was the first one!
Only about 100-200 riders showed, but that was fine with me. The route mileage was a little off, but I don't mind that (some people did).
It was cold at the start, but most of all, at the beginning, it was WINDY! Going up hill in the coldish, and a VERY strong headwind! But once you got past the first major curve, it was better. On the highway back into town, they had a new surface. So Get This...Smooth asphalt (NOT Chipseal!), 25mph TAILwind, and Down Hill! I broke 30 mph a few times (a feat in itself), and did once COASTING! Traffic was polite, the rest stops were okay, the distances were a little random. I planned on the 52 mile route but did the 32 miler (stoopid wind), and it still turned out to be 40 miles all told on my bike. Very Fun Day!
