CyLowe ... come-on man ... you hung with us the whole way!:thumb: Thanks for the lead-outs trying to win the sprint and for the finish.

I was leading someone out? When did this happen and when was someone going to tell me!

:)

I've determined that my goal in life is to ride as fast up inclines as cyclpsycho. His effortlessness is both depressing and inspiring.

I've determined that my goal in life is to get others to work for me until I can explode in 10 seconds of glory.

....and then with cycling my goal is just to finish some good rides, take some pulls every now and then, and be safe.

This weekend I will be working on that which I am no good at - Hill climbing.

Last nights ride was anything but "effortless" for me :50:

Tomorrow is not looking too good weather wise. I need a fast/hard ride to capitalize on the work I did this weekend.....

I'm ready to go. Look for me to be riding on this fine machine, if my mechanic can get the handle back in place by Tuesday night. I'm just going to have cyclepsycho push me up Braeburn.

Planning on the work tonight. I have a bad feeling about yours. Very bad, but I don't want to put much into the feeling until I can pull everything apart.

You lying PIG! :deadhorse:You were too stinking exhausted and you know it.

Hell, I did a 30 minture recovery ride and even that wasn't comfortable. Actually, my right knee was hurting pretty good but I'm trying to ignore it. :(

He's not lying, for sure. He was performing arthroscopic knee surgery on my bike last night. I got the chastisement I deserved for gross negligence and incompetent maintenance.

If only he knew I ignore taking care of my bike so it will go slower....

Actually the quick recovery from the day before set me up for another quick recovery. I was feeling frisky, but my brain was telling me to take a day off. I seriously considered commuting.

Hopefully the forecasts are wrong tonight.

I rode my wife's bike around the block twice for a recovery ride.

I hope we get our ride in tonight as I really don't want to smell like a horse because of a lunch ride with a new office manager. I think we have no chance for tonight ... looks real bad. Maybe my knee could use a day off.

What were your numbers?

0.3 mi in 20 minutes.
6 feet of elevation gain.
Max Speed: 9.1 mph.

Stopped to chat with the neighbors a bit.

I don't see it. Everything I am looking at still says 60%-70% chance throught the ride time - which basically means it will be raining 60%-70% of the time.

Psi, never believe their written projections, just go to the interactive radar (mid page). It's awesome. You can hit play and see how fast the front is coming through, zoom in-out, etc.

This front with be gone in less than an hour. :)

Let's see how my knee feels tomorrow.:injured:

Wow...I use their hourly and it has been pretty frickin accurate for me with commuting, but never saw the radar. That radar looks clear, but it still looks bad around here....

....why did I run during lunch??!!!

I've got a daughters drama presentation in Arlington Heights (Metropolis Theatre) tonight. No way I can get back in time. Damn!

It quit raining up here just like the radar showed. The roads should be very dry for the ride, already pretty dry now.

As you can see Psi, they are still saying 70% chance of rain when the radar says it's 0%, and guess what, it's not raining and won't. The radar rules! I use it to time my commutes all the time.

With all the mechanical help you give me it's nice I can help you out with your weather.

Is it just me or did our group appear like elitist snobs? We were just enthralled with Collarchange's description of the downfall of his shoulder.

Yummy Guinness.

So how did Jester get 30-something miles when we only do 28.4? Guess I don't recall what route they take or add on.

Tom said they rode an extra loop. I passed them coming the opposite way on Braeburn (sp) when I was cutting the loop short to meet back up with the group. They weren't back before us and we didn't pass them so I assumed they did another section. Tom confirmed it.
