So, I just picked up a HED3 front wheel. The problem is, it's set up for quick release/skewer. Does anyone know how I can go about getting a longer axle, so it will take track nuts?

Get a slow release skewer. You may be able to buy just a front. See this thread for more description:

I actually just got a response from HED and they sell track axle kits for $20 which includes axle, cone and nuts, FYI.
