Here...I want to see daily updates on recursive's status of his broken wrist. Back on the trainer yet???

Rumor has it that he's in Colorado - altitude training for Wheels on Willy, May 18th. He may also be working with Garmin on a GPS system specifically designed for criterium racing to alarm when a turn is approaching. I have no confirmation on that however.

His secretary called and said he'd be talking to the National Press Club next Monday.

We'll all be denouncing his comments on Tuesday.

My producer is trying to arrange a live interview on the radio show for next week.

However, if you read another thread here close enough you will see that he has already commented that despite the broken wrist he's mastered masterbating with the opposite hand.

How can this guy not be racing again soon I ask you?

~fractured~

Isn't that what he said?

Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)
frac·ture /ˈfręktʃər/ noun, verb, -tured, -tur·ing.
–noun
1. the breaking of a bone, cartilage, or the like, or the resulting condition. Compare comminuted fracture, complete fracture, compound fracture, greenstick fracture, simple fracture.
2. the act of breaking; state of being broken.
3. a break, breach, or split.
4. the characteristic manner of breaking: a material of unpredictable fracture.
5. the characteristic appearance of a broken surface, as of a mineral.
–verb (used with object)
6. to cause or to suffer a fracture in (a bone, etc.).
7. to break or crack.
8. Slang. to amuse highly or cause to laugh heartily; delight: The new comic really fractured the audience.
–verb (used without object)
9. to become fractured; break: a mineral that does not fracture easily.

"Boy, that peloton really fractured on that last climb!"

I'd say it was all a ruse because he knew he was blowing up and wanted to pull out ... but I did actually see his a** hanging out of his shorts after his free lap. I tried to get a picture of him in that state ... but he hid in the pack. :p

Edit: Sort of like this guy, but on the other side -

And Psimet2001 thought HE had a rough day!

Would a minor injury like that keep a Land of Lincoln'er off the bike????

Apply a little cheese wiz to the affected area and get back on the bike.

I am glad to see my loyal fans want the latest information. Well, I have good news for you! It's not broken. I got back on the trainer last night. I'm an addict.

Check the blog (http://tomtheisen.com/blog/) for the slightly longer version.

Still, it's a pity I missed the BFNIC hill festival. When's the next one?

Wait. You have a blog?

Sell out.

Good news! I loved my second opinion also.

We needed you to have some one put Cyclepsyco in his place (or at least push him as we couldn't).

Once I heard you crashed, I right away figured it out. You drove off the road intentionally, just because you didn't want to get your legs ripped off by the B group and you needed an excuse.

I am saddened for your unfortunate crash, recursive, but happy to hear that you are strong of spirit and filled with a fortitude to get back on the bicycle to deliver your specific brand of Awesome.

I will have to check into this blog of yours. Perhaps if it is of excellent nature, I will need to pursue this phenomenon of blogging. Until such time, I will look forward to your updates as I sip the espressos.

Bravo, recursive, bravissimo!

Another blog to read ... alright!

Anyone who crashes - breaks their arm (I'd stick with that story) - and then jumps back in the race! Is okay by me. http://www.freedomcrowsnest.org/forum/images/smiles/cool2.gif

WOW....recursive....the mighty Speedy McAwesome even gave you props. Somehow some of his awesomeness has rubbed off on you now, making you even more awesome than you already were.

Note to self: Must join recursive on at least one group ride this season so that I may attempt to hang on his wheel for a bit just to catch a wiff of some of his awesomeness as I did last autumn.

We were just discussing this last night over post-ride pints and $2 pizzas. I want to put together a mid or late May ride that starts in either New Glarus or Cross Plains and at some point tackles Blue Mound. Bring the pain this time around, y'know?

The only issue is scheduling it so it doesn't conflict with the racing schedule. Shoot me a PM with free weekends so we can make sure you are able to be around to dish out the punishment.

How about a big city ride?
Ever do those?

Say a Milwaukee or Chicago lakefront tour complete with posing at Alterra afterward? Shopping for the wives while we ride?

Take the initiative, organize a route, and schedule it. In all likelihood someone will show up.

Recursive, that's one of the funniest things I've seen all year. Crashes and hops back on the bike with a banged up wrist and his arse hanging out of his shorts! I love it!

Anyway, how'd you finish?

11th. Good enough for a few WI cup points. I rolled straight through to the medical area, where they patched me up much like that other dude pictured earlier.
