I bought a newly built up wheel with a 2000 Chorus rear hub. A previous owner packed on an 11-23 cassette too tightly and broke, well, it looks like it might need a new freehub body.

Looking at the Campy Spares Catalog, I see that there are three freehubs, Record, Chorus, Centaur. Are they interchangeable? I've found a Centaur Campagnolo 9/10s freehub body for $73.68 and Branford has Record for $159.88 but no Chorus.

Would the Centaur do?

Try calling Campagnolo USA or Branford for advice. Also, the Campy Only! web site is a good source of info for what fit's what.

I have a 2006 Chorus hub and the owner's manual indicates that Chorus and Record hubs are nearly identical but Datona (previous name for Centaur) bearings adjust slightly differently. However, the freehub bodies are all treated identically and appear to be the same so you may be in luck.

Yes, I called il Campi and they said that any Centaur, Chorus, Record or Daytona would work.
