Mountain Biking - Specialized Enduro sl VS Cannondale rize 4
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Im a 1.93cm /92kg (Guess 6.33 / 204 lbs) biker. Since my canondale Prophet 2 got stolen, I'm now looking for a new all mountain bike (i do a bit of everything).
I selected the 08 specialized enduro sl expert and the canondale rize 4 and I would really appreciate your suggestion on which one to buy. I love the XL frame of the enduro, aggressive and robust but I appreciate the apparent evolution of the new rize frame....
Beyond price gap considerations, What shall I do?
Tx a lot guys

Welcome to bikeforums. You should try posting this over in the mountain bike sub-forum, as you probably won't get the info you want here.

I'd probably look at the Rize 4, no propriatory parts where it matters(Suspension.)
Depending on your deifnition of "do everything" I might look at the stumpjumper instead of the enduro. More travel than a wheenie XC racer, but still efficient and climbable. But maybe you don't do a ton of climbing and like to take your bike to the lifts now and then, in which case, forget everything I just said.
I do know a couple of people who are very happy with their enduros (both 2007 models I beleive).
I have tried today a Rize 4. Whilst it seems great more XC situations, i did not like it at all in downhill environment. Definitely too light. I hope I am wrong and it is just a matter of getting used to it...

What kind of riding do you do?

I'd probably choose the canondale rize 4. It fits for me at least :)
