This morning I rode my new road bike into work for the first time and I realized that I couldn't shift from the large chainring. Looking at it on the side of the road, it seems the tension on the shifting cable is really high. The small shifting lever seems to move fine, but the large level will only move slightly and feels 'stuck'.
This is the third (maybe fourth) time I've ridden the bike and the shifting worked on my last ride. I had the bike fitted on Monday, but I rode it that night and the shifting was fine.
The bike: Specialized Allez Comp (double chainring), running all 105. I'm at work right now so I only have a multitool to really work with. I can make it home where I have more tools and a proper stand, just the hills become a little interesting ;)
The first thing I was going to do was release the cable at the FD, but I wanted advice first. Being that this is the first road bike I've owned/worked on that was made after 1980.
