So the Specialized shoes I bought suck. I'm now wearing my 10 year old tried and true Shimano M-09? whatevers. I'm looking for some nice insoles, preferably something that can be molded.
Does anyone have any experience with them? One of LBS's has some you put in the micro-wave and they're asking around $40. Any thoughts, comments or recommendations?
Under $100.
thanks,
Jim

Yes, under $100...I'm not going to have some podiatrist put the screws to me for something I'm borderline on needing in the first place.

Here are a bunch of Orthotics (http://www.roadrunnersports.com/cgi-bin/rrs/rrs/rrSearchResults.jsp?catOID=-8952&BV_SessionID=@@@@0540774087.1069853607@@@@&BV_EngineID=iadcilgmifjdbekgcgecfeedgf.0) available online. I am not sure I would buy them without a fitting though (unless you are familiar with the brand/model. Try a good running store. They should have a selection of them.

Drug stores and some shoe stores carry Dr. Schols(sp/) plastic orthotics that are moldable. Used them in my running shoes for years. Not too expensive.
