NE Philadelphia Riders?

As our city is finally warming up, I would like to see if anyone would be interested in doing a monthly or bi-monthly ride in the Northeast part of Philadelphia? I enjoy riding as a group, but I don't like subjecting myself to something like Critical Mass where people purposely block traffic, spit on cars and things like that. I'm just trying to do a friendly ride of a moderate speed for people of all ages. There are plenty of wide roads in the Northeast and many are often not that populated. Would anyone be interested?

I'm interested. Is the riding in the northeast much better than the northwest? I only know the routes around the Mainline and Ambler.

There's a regularly scheduled Wed. nite ride in the NE - see the Bike Club of Philadelphia http://www.phillybikeclub.org/current.html. Someone could email the ride leader to see if he might be interested in leading something occassionally during the weekend.

Anyone riding the Livestrong ride in August 08? Thinking of doing the 70 mile course. Live close to pennypack looking to ride with others. Due to work schedule training in mornings and around noonish. Thx---Will
