Call me naive but what does that mean?

Harden the blank up?

If so, yeah!

I can still feel "phantom helmet strap" 2-1/2 hours after taking the thing off. :twitchy:

Gonna sleep well tonight. See ya!

GREAT JOB!!!! Survival of the fittest (and the craziest to keep riding and not SAG it in!!) Whew. One to tell the grandkids about...

We're all good. Curtis and Pete started about an hour before I did but I caught up to them in Guinda (mile 160) as they were heading out of the stop. I again caught them at the Davis city limits and we all finished together. By far the most brutal thing I've ever done. 15 hours start to finish... Phew! Cup O' Noodles saved my life!
203 miles of hell. :roflmao2:

Unbelievable, congrats to all! It's an amazing accomplishment to complete the ride in such conditions.

For those that didn't enjoy the heat there is a 375 miler out of Davis in 2 weeks heading up through Feather River Canyon . The ride avoids the heat by starting at 8PM on Friday, so one can avoid most of any brutal day riding by resting from 2pm-6pm the following day, then finish up Sat night, Sunday morning (you have until Sunday noon to finish). Day of registration is available for $45, ($40 for davis bike club members).

+10000

I have no other superlatives to offer. Hope nobody hurts tomorrow.

What's a recovery ride like after a ride like this? ;)

Good job, all!

Congrats to all that finished. You've got a double under your belt, and that's something no one can take away from you. With the extreme heat conditions, this one will be remembered for years. Personally, I think you are all nuts (not for the distance, but for the combination of distance and heat). You all deserve triple crown credit for completing this.

Other than needing more sleep (kids were up at 7am) I feel fine. I'm zoning out a lot which tells me I need a couple more hours of shuteye. I had to bail out on helping out the MTB team today at the State Championships (oddly we rode right by Bogg Mtn yesterday) but they have plenty of help thank goodness.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!

Around mile 50, I hit some gravel in a turn on the backside of Cardiac hill and bit the dirt at 35 mph.

YIKES! I didn't even see that last night... That was my biggest concern toward the end after Colusa line.. Was losing it on one of those 40+ mph descents... I hope you're ok.
