I've been looking for an affordable used road bike and I found this guy that lives about 10 miles from me and he had about 50 Schwinn road bikes in his barn.

I picked this one out

after a couple hours it looked like this

All the parts are cleaned and ready to go back on but the bottom bracket bearing cups were frozen so its at the LBS or I would be out in the garage putting it back together right now.
I'll post a pick when I get it back together.

Looks like around a 1986, give or take.

It looks very similar to a 1998 Schwinn Traveller I have. How many speeds? Indexed? Mine is 2x7 and only the rear is indexed. It looks pretty sharp after I put some blue Vredestein Fortezza tires on it and a decent saddle. My son uses it now.
