I have a friend that claims he hit 1800 watts on his power meter the other day, is that possible? I have heard that Floyd Landis TT at 1800 watts, possible?

It's possible but unlikely that he he generated 1800 watts. It's more likely that the meter indicated 1800 watts.
Your friend doesn't have an Ibike, does he?
The very best TT racers TT at 400-500 watts.

I think the OP was referring to maximal power (ie 1 second), doing that kind of an effort 5 seconds qualifies one as a domestic/low euro pro (at 80 kg, if he's lighter it becomes even greater).
