Jules should not get a demerit for that. He was not trying to circumvent the filter, he was simply filtered.
I don't believe his intent is to be disruptive, unlike Landgolier (and Peedtm in post #196), who both seem to be poking y'all with a stick just to see how long they can get away with it.
Don't pander to the lowest common denominator just because they are vocal.
dood... remove the sarcasm filter.. Sarcasm is your friend - there's no need to filter it out, non.

Wtf! I got an infraction, and they edited my post?
And what's up with this "pee" dude? Where's his infractions? Don't make this into a color thing. If Obama gets elected, y'all are gonna be sorry.

Keep it on topic or start your own thread, please. Mod floods/"required reading" are one of the most annoying things about this site. If you don't like a thread, don't try to derail it.

And this thread is about snivelling, right? And you've never posted anything off-topic, right? ****** please!

Do you even remember what this thread is about?

This thread is about the banning of several members, including myself, from SSFG without apparent cause, as well as some misleading editing of posts. We've now resolved the latter issue, I'd appreciate any move you and the rest of the mods would like to make toward resolving the former. An admission that the action was arbitrary would be a good step. You claimed a while back that the reason was trolling/disruption, which I found to be slightly helpful, and even got my hopes up that you might be able to tell me what I did wrong so that I or someone else won't do something similar in the future. But alas, nobody has been able to figure out what I actually did, and if someone just now happens to remember I'd say that explanation is either highly suspicious or the person in question has some unusual patterns of medium-term memory retention that might be of interest to science. I'm positive you can dig up something I did or said that could be interpreted as a bannable offense, but the time to do that would have been when I was banned, not now when you're trying to cover your tails.
This thread is not about Barack Obama spoke cards, no matter how much the mods might prefer discussing that to the present subject. On several occasions this thread has, however, veered onto the subject of mods attempting to disrupt threads that aren't breaking any rules but that they simply don't like. I find this annoying but also hilarious being that disruption is what I'm apparently accused of.
I dont think anyone ever answered my question. If so I am sorry I missed it but.... why is the word ********* filtered? Heck that does not do anygood. tarck*bike is the word I am trying to find out what is up.
SSFG was locked completely to all members, and yet you still think you're special. Will you ever get over that?

Please don't be obtuse, you know as well as I do that it was locked completely for a short time, and then reopened to all but a few of us. I don't feel like logging out to look, but my guess is that there are about 200 people reading it right now.
Hi,
I'm the community manager at IB, the company that acquired BikeForums. I've looked over this thread and I understand the frustration. The Mods and Admins here do the best they can to work transparently and have been the leaders in pushing for a system (now in place) to track all edits. As far as access to specific forums is concerned, the moderation team is undergoing some reshuffling right now that should be completed in the coming weeks. Once that' in place, forum access will be restored.
Please do contact me with concerns about the administration of the site. I assure you, though, that the changes that are being made now that will help this community.
Thanks,
JuCo
