Road Cycling - Hit by car?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Check out What st.louis is doing, every time a cycalist gets hit they put up a bike http://www.pbase.com/terbo/brokenbikes
we are not some punk group of commuters going to school, if i can keep up with a car doing thirty mph i deserve a little bit of respect from some stupid soccer mom. I am tired, so so tired, of hearing of one after another of my Roadie buddies geting hit by a car.

an intersesting concept, perhaps drivers will notice...
remember however that respect goes both ways, and indeed you must be careful out there...
I have yet to be hit, but someday it might happen. hopefully it will not be serious.

What a great idea. This would be a good thing to spread across the country. I may put a few bikes out at accident sites. More of us involved in cycling should get the word out that we are tired of being not seen, hit and injured or killed. And this is great way of going about it.
