Sunday did a ride and was going for a recovery ride Monday but did a spinning class instead. Sounds Foolish but worked out fine. Then Last night- Wednesday- I got dragged into another one. Different Instructor and Loud Music and low power Voice. As a spinning class for Biking she had no idea- but this one was called Body Form. Started with hills and high pressure on the wheel and OK. Seated riding then on with the pressure and stand. Then sit down keeping the same pressure-then on with the pressure and stand. 7 repeats of this and the perspiration was Flowing by the end. I was sweating buckets which none of the others seemed to be. Then a few sprints which were too long for the effort I put in the first one. Good work out so far.

Then it was onto the body form. Lots of out of the saddle- lots of putting the butt into different positions and lots of supposed doing corners on a stationary bike. It was not enjoyable - and put it this way- If I had to climb a hill for 20 minutes out of the saddle- I would get lower gearing fitted to the bike or call for an ambulance. It was not enjoyable and the muscles did not feel comfortable. Have to admit that I did have to sit down a couple of times to rest muscles that ached a bit more than I thought they should.

This morning I decided to do a bit of digging in the garden. (I have the day off) I can't. My forearms hurt too much under strain. Nowhere else but the forearms feel as though someone has just jumped on them. No sign of bruising but that is what it is like.

Something in that Body Form part of that class is not agreeing with me. So Do I go to that class again- or just go out on the bike next week and get some proper training in? And before I get all sorts of Funny answers- I have arranged for a ride next wednesday with my son-in-law.

Addendum---- Asked the vital question afterwards- "How many Of you do ride bikes"? Same reply as Monday- None of them. I would love to get that instructor out on a ride to show her what bike riding is all about.
