View Full Version : Different Steerer for New Fork?

I was wondering if it's a bad idea to have a new steerer pressed into a new fork. The reason I ask is that I think I've settled on the 85mm Marz MX Comp Air as my new fork but I am cool to the steel steerer. The ETA version (which I don't want) has an alloy steerer that is 1/2 the weight, I would like this steerer on the Air version. Would having a new steerer pressed in reduce the structural integrity of the fork? Is this a bad idea? Am I a loser weight weenie for wanting to save 100 grams??? :D

Thanks!
