Well,
Tonight I pick up my Grand Son and take him to the Shop I work at for his first two wheeled bike! The shop is all prepped to give him the bike and fawn over him a bit. The Owner wants to do a "FIT" with him and the Manager is going to take him out in the Parking Lot to see his SPIN. Should be lots of fun.
I got to build the bike up and I made sure that every thing was PERFECT on it.
Now begins the process of getting a 4 year old into looking at some up-grade parts! LOL!

I have a bike I keep here at home for my grandson when he comes to visit. What a blast riding with him.
Enjoy!

Got to ask: Carbon Fiber, Aluminum or a Classic steel with nice lug work?
Best wishes to your grandson on his first bike. Sounds like you work with some fine people too.

Its got to be C.F. and I bet it weighs less than 15lbs.
Still got the Grandkids to come so can't build up bikes yet for them.

Don't forget to teach him the most important math formula he will ever learn:
N+1 = Satisfaction

Have a wonderful time and thanks for the afternoon smile.
Oh the decisions! Do I go grocery shopping after work as planned (the grocery panniers are on the bike) or do I swing by the shop to watch?
I need something for dinner, yet, I also need a new helmet and an appointment for this year's fitting.
What to do, what to do?
But to see one of those little bikes in a trainer for a fitting...

It brings back memories. All four of my boys learned to ride on a little blue Schwinn, purchased for the oldest in 1980, when he was age 4. The rule was that I would take the training wheels off whenever they wanted me to, but once they came off, they didn't go back on for that rider.
I kept it for years, but finally sold it in a garage sale about four years ago, when the last rider was 15 and the original owner was 27.
We have a picture of it among our wall hangings, all covered in mud, with a Radio Flyer wagon tied to the seatpost with a rope.

So now who's going to be the most excited one in the shop, Grandson or Grandfather?
My money's on the Grandfather. :)
