sucks, anyone have a couple million sitting around to give the construction company so they can pour the damn thing? oh, and the ss/fg forum must be closed now.

Let me see, were did I put those spare millions. Let me get back to you on that. SSFG isn't closed, it's dead.

the "cycling park" part of the velodrome project here kicks ass though, tons of mountain bike/bmx/fourcross/downhill stuff got built... just no track...

That sounds pretty rad. Dromes cost a lot more to build than probably all of that stuff combined. Hope it comes through soon, banked turns not bombs.

there's been rumor of a massive velodrome/training complex here in my neighborhood in austin for about 2 years, but nothing has come of it. i'd LOVE to have a facility like that down the road from me, or anywhere closer than houston (2 hours if i haul ass in whatever car i borrow to get there).

Its coming along, I ride past it every couple days and can now see the entire track is done (in dirt) and they are starting to get ready to pour it I think !
can't wait :)
I've ridden the bmx track, some downhill kickers, 4cross etc... pretty rad place for all things bike!

I was hoping they'd have that thing ready by now too. I've got some friends in Boise that I'd like to flog on that thing.

Get some fixed cross bikes and hit that thing up after a rainstorm!
