I can relate- Maine Coon here and she attracts dingles like they're fleas. Until we clip her, of course- then she's cool for another 4-6 weeks. Ahhh--- can y'all feel the love?

Pics or it didn't happen.
Dam. I love my long hair buddy - and he loves his tail - LE PLUME.
I've had semi long hairs in my life before so I kinda do the PEEKERS when he waves his lovely Le Plume in front of me (ya know - arse first) and OH DAM - THERE IS SOMETHING. :(
Ahh-Boy. Where's the scissors ....
No biggee though. For a long haired cat - he's an ultra smooooooooth groomer himself and is really cool. I do feed him some high end hairball stuff that he likes too.
OKEY DOKEY - so I snippied mah first dingleberry from ze kitty's butt. It shall never compare to my miniature dachsund running like a bat outta hell with a silver icicle from the christmas tree wrapped around a "doo" and still attached .... Ugh - the things we human Mom and Dad's have to do. Cause they all look to you to freaking take care of this, this ... PROBLEM!!!
And we do. That's why we love them so much more. :)

Reminds me of a tale:
A friend of mine had just fallen madly in love with a stupid girl with dreadlocks. He asked me "She's beautiful, isn't she?" when we were both drunk.
I said "Yes."
He said "Her hair is awesome, isn't it?"
"It looks like something I cut off my dog's ass." Said I.
We always got into a lot of fistfights when we drank, but we still love each other. The girl in question went on to cause him years of torture and psychological harm.

I don't think I could have a pet that needed extra poop grooming.

Q: What do Tude and the Starship Enterprise have in common?
A: They both are circling Uranus looking for Klingons.

Noooooooooooooooo! I didn't mean we let them hang there for weeks (or even minutes) on end- it's just that it takes 4-6 weeks for her hair (back there) to grow to a sufficient length to support a new, shall we say, crop. And no, WB y'ain't gettin' no pics from me. And I wouldn't encourage Tude to post any either. That's just something no one needs to see...:o
