Just cracked 200 at the age of 26. I've been the same height since I was 15 but was 155lbs.

When I was 45.

This made me think: I'm 5'4" since I was 15 years old.
At 15: 119 lbs
at 25: 136 lbs (started living with my Husband)
at 29: 149 lbs (I gained weight during pregnancy)
at 32: 165 lbs ( same thing)
since 45: 200!!!! (moved to Canada)

So it looks like that after each big change in my life, I gained some lbs too. I would like to go back to 150 if possible. So far, I lost 4 lbs during the last 3 months.

I was 6'4" and 205 as a sophomore in high school, and stayed around that weight, below 215, until I was in my mid-40s. At that point I had to quit running because of knee problems, and ballooned to about 255. Since then (almost 20 years), my weight has paralleled my riding miles. If I do 150 mi/wk or more, I can stay down around 215-220. When I slack off, as I recently have, 250 looms closer.
Some people say it has to do with eating too much, but I don't believe THAT...

I was 6' in HS, was over 200 pounds in 9th grade I'm pretty sure, then lost a bunch in 10th, slowly started gaining it back until college, lost it when I got sick, gained it back, now losing it again. Too bad other rollercoasters aren't as much fun :/

Ahh, the 200 milestone. I was 27, about a year after I got married. Slowly I kept packing it on until I reached my high last month, 245. Doc noticed my BP up a bit so I have to get some exercise. Just in the last two weeks, walking and cutting back on the beer has dropped me to 237, but I need to get down to 215 by summers end.

So I am buying a bike to assist with the exercise.

I played sports and worked out/lifted weights a lot and by 16, I was 255lbs and needed a belt with my 33" jeans. Now 30, about the same weight, but they aren't 33 inch pants. Nothing like a big guy on a mountain bike wearing cargo shorts passing a group of little guys on road bikes. Starting to get into road biking. Not sure about lycra yet...

Left basic training at 160, and six months later in Denver for Tech School in the winter, I weighed 205. Oh, that midnight chow was awesome :-)

Of course, all the beer and schnitzel in Germany for three years didn't help either. Dropped below 200 for the first time in years in 2006 and have kept most of it off, but still hover around 200-205. Goal is 185 (6'1")

I was about 16 and 5'10"
During my 20's, (6'0") I worked in a shipyard and varied between 215-235. It was physical work, so I was in pretty decent shape.
From 35-45 (sit down job) I ballooned up to ALMOST 300. Went to lite beer and dropped to 270. Went to no beer and have bounced between 215-250 during the course of the year since.
Typically, I start the Spring around 240-250 and at the start of the Winter weather, I'm 215-225.
This Winter, I was sick for a couple months, so I'm starting off at 230.
The last 3 times I've gotten under 200 (over the last 25 years), I've came down with pneumonia.
For that reason, I try to stay above 200 even though I have a GUT & BUTT. I just seem to get too "run down" at a lower weight.

Early 50s
I went into emergency surgery that hospitalized me for 12 days.
During that time I ditched my 16 year crutch (nicotine)
I went in november of 1994 at 181.
By November of 1996 I was 267 pounds.
I'm holding at 223 at present.

Oh, that midnight chow was awesome :-)

When I was 20 years old and in the USAF, I was stationed @ Clark AB, Angeles City, Republic of the Philippines.

After a drunken night on the town (the likes of which I've never seen since the Philippines) there wasn't much that beat midnight chow.

Eventually the base commander got tired of hearing about us and said "You must be in uniform if you show up @ midnight chow."

Being drunk in uniform was enough to get one in a jam, so we stopped going in. The local restaurants boomed...............

I'm not terribly typical - but here goes.

My weight went up bigtime when I got into football. I'm a big-boned guy and you can hang muscle on me very easily. From my sophomore year to senior year in high school I went from 6'1 185lbs to 6'3 275lbs with no increase in bodyfat. I'm now 6'5" (24yrs old, pretty done growing) and have put on some bad pounds after the fact and I intend to get rid of them.

I'd love to get down to the 230-240 range, and if I lost all my fat I'd probably still be lucky to get under 225lbs.

I'll be a Clyde for life :)

I don't know when exactly I hit 200 pounds. I was a stick when I married my wife. I had gained a little after that but not a lot. I ballooned up when I started working at jobs that kept me off my feet. I started working on computers about 10 years ago and it wasn't long after that where I had to replace my clothes to fit my extra weight.

Today my wife told me I need to replace my clothes again because they are all too big for me. My goal was to get below 200 pounds before doing that, but I don't think I can wait anymore. The belt I'm using is now way too long and I can't wear any of my pants without a belt.

Get a big gutter spike and a hammer, find a hunk of scrap wood, put the belt over the scrap wood, then take the gutter spike (basically a big nail they use for attaching gutters), and punch an extra hole in the belt, make sure it's the same distance from the last hole as the previous hole. Turns a fat guy belt into a skinny guy belt in no time flat. If adding a hole, add several so you don't need to do it again for a while, when you've lost all the weight you want, then buy a new belt.

Clyde status, about 12 years ago after I gave up the butts. Athena status off and on from high school, if I understand the weights correctly. But my large frame can handle 150 as "stocky," not "fat," and certainly not "obese."

ROFL! Actually I lucked out with this belt, it has holes that go all the way around the belt. My problem is the excess strap tends to work it's way out of the belt strap so I have this long black belt dangle at an area... well, where something shouldn't be dangling. :o

Let's see, 5'9" 145 at 18. 1985
College, beer, lazy, probably graduated around 185 or so. 1991
2 years working crappy retail job 11+ hours a day with only a pizza or burger joint to eat at, and late night Denny's runs, 207 when I got married 15 years ago.
4 years ago hit 218.
Started South Beach diet, dropped to about 180. Spring decided to start riding my old MTB, but had hernia repair in June. Medically not allowed to ride for several months. Weight went back up by about 10#s.
Got as high as 197 a couple of months ago and now back on bike and South Beach, am below 190 and hoping for several more. Goal is 170. No longer a clyde, but still working on fitness and weight loss.

My senior year of high school I was in the best shape of my life. 6'1", 185lbs, muscle definition, abs, etc. Then I turned 18, moved out, discovered weed and beer and it was all down hill from there. I ballooned up to 260lbs by July of 2004, a few months shy of 20 years old. I had a job in which I was traveling a lot, eating fast food daily for more than one meal, binge drinking every night with the guys, etc. Now I'm hypoglycemic. I switched jobs and dropped 30 pounds in a matter of months. I teetered for a while around 220-235lbs.
I'm down to 210 now just from eating better. I quit smoking(weed and cigs) cold turkey for a year, but on our anniversary I wanted a cigar....that was back in October of '07. Been smoking cigarettes(no weed) ever since. Already up to a pack and a half a day. But I'm done with it. Too expensive, and it's completely counter-productive. I drink far less now than I did before as well.

My health is more important to me now as I have a family to take care.

For me it was 7th grade. I guess I was 12? 13? I was a wrestler and classified as a heavyweight then (starts at 195 at that level). But being 6'5, my ultimate goal weight now is 230. Long road from here, but I'm gonna hit it.

How tall were you back then? 6'5"?....or did that come later?

I was 6 foot 3, 200 lbs by age 16. I worked in a grocery store owned by an Italian family, and learned to eat very well. I quit to work in a bike store for 3 years, and stayed around 200 - just re-configured. Hit 220 in University (mac & cheese & beer), bulked up to 240 after 2 summers working construction and factory work, then 260 after graduation, living single working too hard and drinking too much Guinness. I was getting worried about my health so I lost 35lbs on a bet with my brother in law, in 2001. Moved to a new town and started biking to work in 2003. I'm now stable at 230 to 240, depending on the season - but I'll never be below 200 again, unless due to grievous illness.

1974- 200# High school
1987- 280# Ouch
1990- 180# Married a good cook
1995- 250# Ouch again
2006- 205#
today- 220# gotta be carefull
I've always been an over eater. I guess I was born with sensitive taste buds.

This is my story, also

1974- 180# High school
1979- A skinny 170# semi-vegetarian
1985- Just married & 185#
1987- 200# Married a good cook
1990- 230# Started my first serious diet and weight loss
1991- 205# That better
2005-245# Started my second serious diet and weight loss
2006-220# Lighter & stronger
today- 240# not good, to much business travel & stress.

My goal is to be down to 200 again and then staying at that level.

I'm going to begin to bike commute to work this week. I'll ease into a 18 mile one way commute, 3 days a week by July 1st. 100 miles a week should help!

Height....maybe 9th grade. Weight around 22 or 23. Maxed at 265 when I was 27. I've been sub 200 since late March/early April. I still can't seem to get under 6'4 though....

i think i hit 200 in middle school. i graduated highschool at 295 or 300. im only 5'9". somewhere around 15 i discovered parties and booze and 4 blurry years later i was 19 and pushing the 300 mark. i never bothered to weigh myself. i know this, i quit drinking at 20 and lost what seemed a possible 20 pounds and at 25 i weighed in again at 300. i was a big boy while in school. last time i weighed myself i was 255 and that was in january.

I've been a Clyde as long as I can remember (thats my name as well). I graduated highschool around 220, and after boot camp I was down to 172, my only skinnny time. After 4 years in the military I put all that weight back on to a max of 402 in 2005. I got down to around 315 middle of this year, but I am not riding so I am putting it back on. My youngest son just moved in with me, now I have a riding/walking buddy.

Clyde status for me ... not exactly sure when I passed the 200 mark. but as a freshman in high school I was 245 (but looked 200) and went right into starting center on the varsity team (football). I was also already lifting weights along with my cycling and surfing.
By the time I graduated I was 265. Then into the service, they were able to get me down to 202 @ 4% for the day of graduation (that was also the last time I remember having a 29" waist :twitchy: ) but after that I hovered around 225 until I started playing ball again.
