I've come to the conclusion - just now. That I am going to take a few days off. My SL1 is gone, my junk is in pain, and the racing schedule is slow. I need to recover, heal up, and try to remember what my family looks like. :o

I'm going to come back stronger. So watch the **** out!

In the middle of hard training, a few days (even a week) away from the bike often helps me immensely. Sounds like you are listening to your body and your life, which is a good thing.

I'm not offing myself here. Plus my SL1 is being shipped back to Fuji. If they don't replace it though, I may off myself.

But I do have an older, larger full kit that I can give someone. It's an XL (bibs, 2 jerseys, arm warmers, winter gloves, summer gloves.)

Don't you dare say that. Find some motivation.

Heal up and have some fun.

I've been off this week too (at least after my Monday hill climb workout). Have a cold coming on and trying not to stress the immune system. Wouldn't be such a big deal except I'm a soloist in the church choir and I have a really high tenor solo this Sunday. Pumping C, zinc & swabbing with Zicam trying to keep the pipes clear for Sunday.

Hope the taint gets better.

great to hear, Sub.

From reading your posts, it seems like this is a very wise thing to do.

You will be stronger, fitter and more motivated after 2-4 days of the bike.

enjoy your family time and try, if possible, to let cycling fade to the back of your mind for a few days.

eat well, sleep well and give yourself a leg opener and not a killer workout for your first day back on the bike. consider doing some testing the 2nd day back in the saddle.

my $2.

cheers,

Leo

I'm a tenor too. I've taken a bit of time off from choir as well though. My work/life/training has been so hectic, I wondered if I would not just pop a screw in my head. I'm relaxing for a bit. And it's going to feel oh-so-good.
