I live 11 miles due east of Cross Plains. To the U.S. 20 exit for the Hampshire forest preserve it is 100 miles, which takes about 95 minutes. I do not drive like FIBers (that is to say, I keep it under 75). I haven't been through the Rockford/Beloit area since construction season, however. It will be early in the am - I-90 in WI is pretty dead then.

Take it from there.

me and the little princess are on our own for dinner tonight. she, being all of 2.5 years old, loves McDonalds. i dont know if that gives me the carbo loading i need. deep dish pizza, maybe portillos, maybe a burritto as big as Psi's head. what to do.

not really questions, just thoughts from a bored office worker.

later.

Nah, man. I'm pretty ****ing far from OK.

You know the crumbmaster in my family insists on T-Bell.

BTW - a burrito as big as my head is a bad idea. 1 - that would be one ginormous b-to. 2- You will be in a car with me in the morning. Please use restraint.

I will be letting loose with day after beer farts, but it's MY car.

Beware the dreaded Double Hundos, amigo.

I'm continuing my carbo-loading by finishing the pizza I baked at lunch and will conclude my tapering in a little while by mowing the yard.

And then watching Pulp Fiction on the big TV. Good thing the kids are out of town tonight.

Yeah, you can come over and mow the yard. There's nothing wrong with two guys trimming the hedges.... errr...... wait.... that's not right.....

Hey, let's shave our legs tonight! (yeah, that's more bike forums appropriate)

Hey folks, I'm going to come out for this ride. The last BFNIC ride I went to was a complete blast, so I'm sure this one'll be even better now that we're hitting the real hills. I've got three people who will maybe make it out with me.

Does anyone know if the Uphill is going to be open for us? The start time is earlier than I usually roll out of bed, and some of Mike's special iced coffee would really hit the spot.

The more the merrier!

The shop doesn't officially open until 9, so there are no assurances that they will be open before we roll out.

I let Michael know we'd be starting the ride at 8:30, but did not hear back from him.

By the way, park in the back of the shop. Plenty of parking there.

Enjoy the suffering everyone! I'll be attending to family duties but will be with you in sprit (off the back of course -- WAY off the back! Gravity does not treat us big guys well on climbs :( )

I made it back from the party in one piece. I am concious and mostly level headed. I think I packed everything. Only tomorrow will tell.

Get ready for the hurt you weenies.

Have a great ride on a beautiful day. See you tomorrow.

I'll be looking for the people struggling to walk.

Ok, Chances, did I meet you? I had the blue/blue Specialized. We were over there by tzracer's Waterford (at least I assumed it was tzracer).

Crystal, thanks for the rice krispies treats. I didn't mean to drop you at the beginning...I thought you were right behind me (my neck doesn't turn so well...). Anyway, I did a shortened loop and wouldn't have been much help after the first 20 miles or so. Oh that first real hill on Sutcliffe really hurt....

You bet, that was me. It was nice meeting you, I'm glad you came out for the fun. I ended up a little worse for wear. :D My end mileage was 106 miles and my current options for the day are nap, nap, or nap.
