week 1: set it at the curb. empty. next to full garbage cans
still sitting there after garbage day
week 2: put some garbage in it and put it inside a good garbage can
still sitting there after garbage day
week 3: put garbage in it and taped a note to it saying "this is garbage. please take away."
after garbage day....old can is still there....garbage and note are gone.

What's wrong with it that you need to toss it? If it still holds garbage, isn't it still worth keeping?

Many times. They get torn up a lot on the jobs ites I've worked on. Just slice it up, bundle it up or bag it up, and set it on or in the curb, dumpster or truck bed.

This was a rhetorical question, right? Like, "Why did God give men a brain and a penis but only enough blood to work one at a time?"
Well not exactly like that, but kind of.
Be more specific on your note:
Please take the CAN, too!
