Pain, discomfort, and yuckiness. Yuckiness? Yeah, just not good for the crit tomorrow. I was so looking forward to Dilworth. It's going to be sweet - or was. :(

Anyone have any Vicodin? I need it before 1:45pm.

I've had some of my strongest days the day after feeling like total crap on the bike. Consider it a good omen.

I'm sorry, I'm just talking about my "area." I can't hardly walk, or sit, or anything. And it sux because this is the main event for our team. I'm just a big, fat baby right now. A big, fat baby with a prostate the size of a softball.

Damn.

It must suck getting old.

;)

But seriously, sometimes life gets in the way of our cycling addiction, and it sucks.

I feel your pain (figuratively, of course).

I came down with something similar two weeks ago and it killed my goals for late April and May. I came off of San Dimas feeling like I was flying, looking forward to Devils Punchbowl then bam this thing just sapped me. Two weeks off the bike and now I'm getting back to training. Moved my goals from Devils Punchbowl and the State RR's to the big crits in June and July. Sucks, but there is still a lot of racing left this year.

Well, I'm up. I've packed my bike, my clothes, my food, my trainer, and my prostate. Let's see if I can do this. I'm still having ****ing calf cramps though.

I think God is trying to get my attention.

I couldn't race - teh suxor! I was in pain all day. Setting up all the crap for the race only exacerbated it.

You're a better asset to your team when you're in a condition to help them, not when you're in a condition that you can't even help yourself.

Take the time off for your body, trust me it sucks, but once you've healed up and trained for a bit, then you'll be in better shape to help everyone out.

My advice: go eat some Bar-B-Q, drink some beer, have a slice of Peanut Butter pie, go to sleep, have eggs, sausage & biscuits (sans gravy), and maybe some fried chicken for lunch.

You'll feel better, and if you're at all like me, you'll mysteriously lose 4 lbs since the last time you weighed yourself.

Beer comes later tonight. The bike race was awesome though - watching 120+ pro riders in a one mile course sprinting for 100 dollar primes lap after lap.
