So I open an email today and it starts out:

"Hello Ms. Vogel, aka. Ms. Nancy, as my son **star student** refers to. I picked up star today on my Harley & he started telling me his teacher was taking a bike trip from north to south. So as you probably know star, he's explaining this to me & I'm correcting him, or so I thought, telling him its from the top of Idaho to the mexico border. He's saying "no, from the top to the bottom" & I'm telling him, "thats impossible, you misunderstood her" lol!

So he gave me your magnet card & we went to the website. I was stunned in awe!"

Anyway, the father went on to say he's glued to his computer reading about all our adventures and how he's thrilled that his son is being exposed to all this...

Anyway - that made my day today!!

Nancy and her family do some major bike touring.

The email is from the parent of one of her students.

I think the 4th time reading it works. Plus Paula's explanation.

Sorry about that!! We are taking off to ride from Alaska to Argentina soon and I was talking with my students (I teach high school kids) about it today. One of my kids told his dad and his dad was really excited about.

I can totally see how my post wasn't clear. Sorry about that!!!

Hi Nancy, I've been following you off and on, I even tried to get you to spend a night in the redwoods and missed you by a day or two. Bummer.

I teach 7th to 12th grade and they think I am strange because I am riding my bike from Florida to California this summer. :)

I am so in awe if you and your family, keep giving us reasons to explore.

Steven

That is a bummer Steven! It's amazing how many people wrote after we had already moved on and said, "Darn - you just passed us!"

Some of my students are pretty funny about our trip - they just can't even begin to fathom it.

Are you heading through Colorado Nancy?

If so I'd love for you to stop by our shop.

We're not sure. John's sister lives in Denver, so we would love to go there. But it looks like the easier route will be pass through Glacier National Park, then Yellowstone, then on down to Arches. We'll see once we get closer.

I've been using Chevron gas for about 2 and a half years now. Off and on. It seems to be normal gas, you know... gets me to and from work. No problems really. Have you considered swtiching to another brand?
