After selling my singlespeed earlier in the week, I looked over at my vertical bike stand against the garage wall and my road bike looked lonely. I had thought about getting another road bike, but my short list of ones I wanted were a bit (a lot) out of my range. I had tossed the idea around in the past of a TT/tri bike, because quite frankly, I think they look cool and fast and are a hoot to ride. I narrowed my choices down to three, and test rode two of them (the third was the Specialized Transition, which apparently is impossible to get, much less find in stock somewhere to test ride). I'd like to thank Happytime and voltman for putting up with my soliciting them for advice/info, and proudly present to you my new bike.

I took delivery of this yesterday afternoon. It's spec'ed with DuraAce stuff with a nifty FSA carbon crank. I took the stock Shimano wheels off and slapped my Zipps on them. Took it for a nice shakedown ride this morning on SGRT, and am looking forward to getting everything dialed in. Going to take it in to my LBS for a quick fit sometime in the next week.

What was the other bike you tested?

Very nice! So besides being great to look at, are you planning on using your new bike for Triathlons, Ironman or other races?

Yes - I did my first one (Pasadena) in March and would like to continue with the sprint distance and go from there -

QRoo Seduza - the P2C won out due to availability and that it was wind tunnel tested, and I liked the overall ride and aesthetics of it more as well.

Nice! I got a P2C last fall, switched out the FSA crankset for Dura Ace and put DA brakes on as well. I highly suggest getting a thorugh fitting. I've been riding mine once a week for the last few months, and am finally feeling comfy on it. There's more to being fitted on a TT bike than a road bike. Might be a bit of a drive, but Hank at Edge in Laguna Niguel will do it right.

You're making Voltman jealous.

You're making Voltman jealous.

Why? Does it turn into a burrito after you ride it?

Hi Luwin,

Very nice! :)

You should consider doing some TTs too. Triathlons require too much training and probably hurt a lot more than just TTs. ;)

Very nice. I just took delivery of a nice Kuota K Factor. Just finished tuning and cleaning it, rewrapping the bars, and replacing the cables. Shakedown ride will be tomorrow. No pics yet, but will post one as soon as it's done. What other tris are in your schedule? I'm registered for the Breath of Life in Ventura and the Strawberry Fields in Oxnard so far.

Thanks for the tip! I actually got a thorough (1.5 hr.) fitting at Temple City Bike Shop, and am feeling quite comfy on it. Time will tell if the saddle is for me, though - first impression is that it's like a rock.

luwin, how'd you do at the pasadena tri? I was going to sign up for it, but i was a tad late. I did the Loma Linda PossAbilities tri instead; i think they're the same distance?
