What are you trying to accomplish, loose weight, maintain it?

Personally, I reduce my calories on rest/recovery days. I don't feel that I particularly need the same amount of calories as when I exercise 2 hours/day since I'm really hardly doing anything. I still eat healthy/clean, but I cut out a few things so my calorie intake is a bit lower (e.g. I have granola in yogurt as a morning snack on most days, but not on my rest recovery day - which happens to be today!). Aside from that, I still basically eat the same stuff, just cut out a few things that have a lot of calories/carbs that my body doesn't necessarily need.

Not a doctor, nutritionist, etc.. just what I have been doing for the past few weeks.

I never reduce calories on recovery days. They're recovery days! Meaning time to rebuild those glycogen stores, repair those muscle tears, etc. How you gonna do that without food? So I usually hit the high GI foods and protein pretty good on recovery days. On a recovery day that precedes a big ride, I'll sip down two water bottles of a strong Cytomax mix with some glutamine in it, just to keep my blood sugar high all day. Works great, and you'll pee it all out in the night so you'll be prehydrated, yet not pee your shorts.

I tend to eat more on recovery days, my body finally has a chance to catch up with all my riding!
