FYI, I had a poor experience with Wallingford Bicycle Parts (a.k.a. Wallbike) online retailer. They're one of the few US dealers for Brooks saddles, so I was checking them out & even exchanged a few e-mails with the owner. Bottom line = poor customer service, amateurish/confusing/unhelpful website, and just plain bad attitude. I ended up getting my saddle from Harris Cyclery (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/) -- it was easy to find & order through their entertaining & helpful website; it arrived quickly; and as an added bonus, their prices were lower!!!

Overall, I recommend avoiding wallbike.com -- Harris (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/), or even Nashbar (http://www.nashbar.com/), are better choices for Brooks saddles.

Just thought thought I'd share my experience. Thanks!

What exactly was the problem you had with WallBike?

Wow, you signed up here just to bash on Wallbike? Yet you don't provide any details. I'll be taking that with one large grain of salt.

So you can't provide negative feedback on this site? Sorry, I'm new & didn't know that. To answer Ziemas' question, it was a combination of several things: frustration with their web site, a bit of an "attitude" on their part in my e-mails with them, and higher prices compared to the competition. I know they're an "institution" and many hard-core cyclists swear by them, so I'm sure there's more than one grain of salt being taken. I just wanted to let others know they're not perfect. Sorry if I offended.

Rex, you can provide any kind of feedback you want.

Just don't expect us to take stock in your opinion when you join this forum just to rag on them.

A lot of us have had very good experiences with Wallingfords.

If one is to be taken seriously when they post negative feed back on a company they should provide detailed info on what the problem is and how they tried to solve it. Just because you don't like their website or prices doesn't mean they are a bad company; no one thinks any company is perfect.....

Does Harris or Nashbar offer a six month unconditional money back guarantee on Brooks saddles? Does anyone offer such a guarantee....besides Wallbike?

Who here hasn't been stuck with a saddle they bought and realized later they didn't like it?

Hey, I like Harris and Nashbar...but if you buy your Brooks from Wallbike, you've got a little extra insurance.

I just bought a Brooks B17 from them mostly based on what I have read on this forum and the 6 month return policy. My only regret is not seeing the racing green saddle when I bought my standard model.

When I called initially, the person on the phone was a little short with me, but it was late in the day and we had a bad connection on my cell phone. I just plain could not hear her and she got a little testy. A couple of days later when I called again to order, she couldn't have been nicer and I do think I had the same gal.

I will buy from them again.
