Mountain Biking - Help me find a seat plz

I have a few criteria. This'll be going on my 4X bike so comfort isn't one of them.

The seat needs to be

1) light
2) black, white, silver, or any combination of the three
3) devoid of any NASCAR type huge graphics proclaiming manufacturer or model
4) cool looking

If anyone suggests Brooks I will come to your house and punch you in the throat.

Not sure about the weight, but it looks pretty light. My friend has one on his freeride bike and loves it. Apparenly it's not only cool looking, but comfy too!

This really cool dude that 66 likes to hang with could point you in the right direction. I think he knows alot about cross country riding, trials, and dog restraint training. 66 could hook you up with his number. Good luck.

I find the aesthetics of the "new" flite a bit questionable (i.e. the nose of thing), but I remain quite partial to the line in general. I have a FliteTT on my XC and cross bikes.

Back in the day we used to knock hollow rails on MTB seats, but nowadays it seems everyone is doing it, with little ill effect.

The new design looks a bit more like the shape of the old TransAlp than the classic. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I really like my classic Flite Ti and Flite XO, though the XO might be a little too NASCAR for you. I also have a newer Flite Ti for a bike I'm currently building. This new saddle was made in 2003 and I bought it new-in-box a couple weeks ago. You can find older Selle Italia saddles at some of the online retailers. IMHO, the new Flite looks awful.

...I won't mention my Brooks B17 or how it is also a nice saddle.

When I put my road bike together Larry@MtnHighCyclery hooked me up with a WTB Shadow V that was in silver with barely any wording on it. Comfortable, light, silver and looks good. I have a crappy picture of my road bike you can sort of make it out.

Syncros FR. Black & white, (sorry, no silver) reasonably light (not as light as the Sunline V-One but not bad) and all-day comfortable.

Sunline V-One in black ('almost-silver' gray and white accents), crazy-light, not as all-day comfortable as the Syncros; most likely because it's designed to get off the back of easily for descending.

My Rocket V SLT saddles are plain and weigh just over 200g.

Good input, thanks everyone. I have a WTB rocket something or other on there right now and it's a little short for my liking. SDG and Syncros look comfy but are little more robust than necessary.

Sunline and Shadow look promising - I'm definitely gonna check those out.

never, I would throat punch myself if I could make a Canadia trip happen this summer. Still haven't written it off yet completely though.

The one thing I forgot to mention about the Sunline, gastro, is that if you use inside-of-leg pressure against the saddle to 'muscle' the rear (hipping jumps, etc.) the thin edges are a bit sharp. I actually had some bruises on the insides of my thighs after our Whistler trip. Never noticed it much the rest of the season but thought you should be aware.

I looked up what the newest Shadow V looks like. They changed the graphics a little and it looks a little more NASCAResque but not overly so. My saddle must be a 2007 or maybe even a 2006 model. It weighs about 200g and has titanium rails.
