Here are the rules...

1. All trivia questions must be bicycle related.
2. No new trivia question may be presented until the previous has been solved.
3. If someone breaks the rules please remind he or she politely.

The drawing of a bicycle on the back of one of Leonardo DaVinci's papers is a proven forgery. The inventor of the bicycle was someone in the 1800's but I don't know who.

My guess is Lance Armstrong, 2002, US Postal Team.

no one person invented the bicycle. around 1820, karl drais created something called a "draisine" based on the velocipedes of the late 19th century. a scot named kirkpatric macmillan is reputed to have added a crank drive system a generation later, and around 1860, the michaux brothers perfected pedals. the bicycle as we know it now probably evolved from a whole range of technological innovations at the end of the 19th centiry.

my question... what is the significance of the white bicycle in dutch political culture?

I don't know how I missed that. Was pee wee's bike called rosebud or do I have that mixed up with a sled in Citezen Kane? What does Mr, excuse me Dr Evil ride( he did not spend 6 years in evil medical school to be called mister thank you very much) in Goldmember, and (Hint,Hint) what is on the handlebars? Besides his hands. James
