My GT came equipped with a crappy Truvativ IsoFlo crankset and the left arm fell off and I had to go to my LBS to get a replacement. The guy couldnt sell me a left arm by itself so I bought a Truvativ Blaze crankset.

Anybody know what the difference between the two is? I didn't bother taking off the IsoFlow crank so I just put on the Blaze left arm... seems to work fine.

Sram's web site had specs for the Blaze contained in the following link.
I could not find specs for the IsoFlo.

This second link is for the manual that covers installation of the IsoFlo.
I am not familiar with this type of bottom bracket it states that improper installation
could result in damange to the crank arm. Which seems much more likely than it just failing
and then just falling off.

The crank bolt was not tight and that is how a crank arm probably can come off.

To decide if the Blaze is an upgrade worth doing just compare the two side by side and decide if the
different features (if any) make sense to you and if it's worth the trouble.
