ok so my setup is a mostly stock trek 4300, not new.
I was looking to get some disc brakes because the trail i ride on has quite a bit of streams and mud, which my v's don't tend to agree with.
Much to my dismay, I come to find out from my local bike shop that it'l run around $500 for the set of avid bb7's i was looking at and new disc ready rims. They showed my a new gary fisher wahoo for the same price with discs and said that was the way to go.
So i go back home in deep thought and find on ebay i can get front/back set of bb7's for 110 tops and what look to be a good set of rims for 100 tops.
I do have 500 if i sold my trek, but i like my bike even though I realize its not the greatest.
Any suggestions?
