I hadn't listened to any CDs for a long time in my truck. The other day when I went to the urologist (damn, I'm really dating myself here) I finally had a chance and listened to a mixed CD of Siouxsie's best (IMO).

Apparently it stirred something in me, having seen her twice live, both times deeply affecting me. I started searching for recent images of her, wondering what an old friend looked like now....damn! She released an album late last year...and I missed it?

I had to order it right away.

Is my teenage crush on her all for naught...or is she still a gorgeous woman? All makeup and photochopping aside, she looks fine for 50.

Sure, it's not screaming with the same punk vitriol as The Scream...so she's mellowed at 50. So have I and thought it wasn't bad.

Meh, I've bought every album she's been a part of, so I'm biased. I really just want to do her.

Meh, she finally ditched Budgie, who admittedly was much of the Banshee's sound.

A couple of my alltime faves:

Sin In My Heart (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hpEEKqdCDU&feature=related)

Switch (w/Robert Smith) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeRncfFQB64&feature=related)

And this last one shows me she's slowed down a bit, but only compared to the amazing energy she was capable of in her youth. I hope to be doing so well when I'm 50.
