View Full Version : Am I the only one?

Even though I've been cycling for a while and have pretty good fitness now because of it, I seriously still prefer bigger women. A lot of my athletically-inclined friends look the other way when it comes to them, but for me, there's just something about them that really makes them much more attractive. Does anyone else here feel that way?

Just a curious conversation starter.

How big are we talking here?

MrCrassic

Not obese or greater, but ranging from slightly chubby to overweight.

As an aside, my mom did always say that my grandfather had the same weird "fetish," if you will...

Mmmkay...

I'll let you off the hook bro, you got the joke.

I don't think it's a strange fetish or anything, and I also kinda like mopeds too, but that's mostly because I'm a big dork and don't care what people think of me. If they think I'm a dork...they're right!

Ahem...have you given any thought to why you might have this attraction? It obviously stands out to your friends.

As for myself, I can't say I share the attraction. My ex wife gained a lot of weight after we married. Her excuse was having kids, but kids don't weigh eighty pounds. Ever since I've been attracted to thinner women. No, not anorexic fashion models, just not-as-large-as-my-ex women. Even so, I am still most attracted by a woman's personality, not her appearance.

We are talking intitial attraction, right?

For me it's all about looking healthy. I'm equally turned off by the skeletors and the obese women. There are a lot of different shapes and sizes in between those two however and they all can be attractive.

Women with extra padding in the right places are great. I don't like a big gut on a woman. A girl with plenty of extra fat, but a relatively narrow waist, can often look great. A female body with a fat stomach but normal or thin body otherwise, is not that hot. In my opinion. Probably because I see that as a male shape, while the Coke bottle shape looks female.

But there are so many variables in this that it's practically impossible to explain in a post on BF.

Personally, I prefer fit (moderately muscular) women with a healthy amount of fat. I don't like skinny chicks, roided up FBBs or unhealthily overweight women. Yeah, that about sums it up.

You know, I have thought about it (quite a bit, actually). I also exercised on it.

I dated a skinny woman for about four years (on and off), and she was (and still is) beautiful to me. Afterwards, I dated two women much bigger than her, but I enjoyed those experiences (from a sexual standpoint) as well. I guess I just like that extra cushion.

Most of my friends are actually relatively healthy and fit as well. That's what makes it even more complicated; I have very few outlets that would suggest I would be attracted to bigger woman (even down to my dieting pattern, which is healthy except on some weekends), but I am anyway.

I think I would get quite upset if my wife or long-term girlfriend gained that much weight throughout the relationship. Here's my ideal: I am fine with big people who attempt to lead responsible and somewhat healthy lives; some are just born not to be slim. I am against those who do nothing to better themselves in that regard (for which there are plenty in this country who satisfy this class). I hope this isn't offensive, as I don't mean for it to be.

I wouldn't divorce over it, but I would be bothered by it nonetheless.

I don't know, i love women of all shapes and sizes. My last girlfriend had some meat on her while my current girlfriend is pretty tiny. I always thought i hated that meat on the last one, but in light of my new found tinyness (which i f'n love too) i don't think i dislike it as much as i thought i did.

Something to grab onto isn't a bad thing. But uhh you can't beat a nice little thang with sexy little legs and *ehem*...

This is a nice body, IMHO. Not skinny, but well proportioned and fit. And feminine.

It really is about proportions and studies have shown that there are certain relationships in a woman's body that determine her attractiveness... our little lizard brains are hard wired to respond to certain shapes and their relation to each other and societal expectations also play a significant role.

When I worked in the Bahamas skinny girls were looked upon as being less than attractive to most men, and there were very few size eights although the women there were quite beautiful. The term for them was "conky joes" which was an insult to describe people who were trying to be white... and thin.

I don't think WB's issues with his ex are just because she gained 80 pounds and my ex was never a petite woman although she would still be considered by most to be a very attractive woman. Pretty only gets you so far and once you get past that you will find the things that wil keep you or cause you to move on.

There is this wonderful woman in my life who finds me to be quite attractive (yay !) and I think that she is among the most beautiful women I have ever laid my eyes on... but that physical beauty cannot even compare to the beauty I can only see with my heart.

No, it'd be unfair and shallow for me to claim that was all there was to it.

I do feel it has coloured my perceptions of beauty since then. I still find most women beautiful in their own way, but I have caught myself a couple times avoiding women that remind me too much of her...understandably I hope.

Yeah. Girls that look like a past girlfriend or even remotely resemble one are a turn-off. Kinda like going to an ex's favorite restaurant with your current girl.
