finally got a chance to ride the bike to Church. works fantastic, I got there a ll wide awake, took a towel to dry my head,,,etc,,, worked great, stayed awake during the whole thing.
You went to church wide awake? My condolences...;)
Congratulations. :) I take my bike to church all the time (I only go 1-2 times a month, actually), and it's actually pretty easy. I ride up to the church while everyone else is fighting over the few parking spaces that exist, lock up, and I'm comfortably dozing by the time mass starts...

I,,being the maint. guy, have keys to all, so I lock my Allez in the shed with the lawn mower tractor.
Like Super Man, I go in wearing a suit, come out in Pearl Izumis.........

I am a pastor. Back in the mid-70's I was not connected to a church and was free to fill in for other pastors. My wife went for a couple of weeks to visit her parents. I put my gown and dress clothing into a child seat. Then I rode 25 miles to the church where I was to fill in. I changed clothes and did the worship service. Then I changed into my biking clothes and rode home with the good clothes and gown in the child seat. I do not remember taking a water bottle, nor do I remember eating anything before riding home again.

I might take a car to church once or twice a year, and then only because I'm either carrying an awkward load or because I've got to get out to an assignment immediately afterward. I find cycling to church helps to relax my mind and prepare me for the service.
In summer, we have quite a few people who either cycle or walk to church. In winter, I'm the only one who cycles. There are some who walk year-round.
