Any idea when shaving became a part of cyling. People ask me all the time if it really makes me faster and I have to explain it does'nt blah blah blah! but I did wonder who and how long ago the tradition started, anyone know? :rolleyes:

Ever had road rash with hairy legs?

I always offer to drag my friends along behind my car at 60km/h for a while and then see if they would have shaved their legs first. No one has taken up the offer yet... and I get very few negative comments on my hairless legs. Two birds, one stone ;)

A lot of European men shave their legs, and a lot of them cycle, I guess that's how it started?

Wow..I don't offer to drag them, but I have offered to push them out of my car at 50kph...you need to have them bounce and roll around on the street for a little while first to get the full crash effect.

I also offer to do that to people who tell me that bike racing's not a "real" sport..but for different reasons... :p
