Now I love Ian's riding, but is it really necessary for his new frame to have a built-in pivitol seat post?
I mean, come on.

whats wrong with that? If you dont care where your seat is at it just make things lighter and easyer.

Hey, the first T-1 Garret Byrnes frame did the built in seatpost, so why not make a pivotal?
Plus it IS Ian's signature frame, which would imply that HE gets to decide what features it has.
From what I've read, a lot of people are stoked on it. But then, these aren't old guys like me who like to sit down at times.
You don't like it - don't get it. Sunday will have thier standard frame out soon enough.

It was an awesome idea for those who like slammed seats. I like mine a little raised, but you people are gonna have to stop making complaint threads. Ya bunch of whiners.

I just think it looks a little silly.
And if people are that concerned about saving weight they can just go and buy one of the many sub - 5lb frames out there (which are alot cheaper than the sunday also).

That's enough. Next person to start another fight or completely off-topic is going on "vacation."

He is serious and I'm glad your putting your foot down. Not a hating fighting forum.

My friend has the prototype version of that from where the decals are sharpie.

well even though i dont like the idea... they are producing the same frame without the silly post. Apparently he JB welded his post in to his bike and thats where this idea came from... I dont think i would trust JB weld that much... lol

One of the coolest things I've seen is taking the bottom of a pivotal post and cutting it like the quill of a gooseneck. Then, use on of the gooseneck wedges and attach that to the pivotal bolt. So now you have a quill on the bottom of your pivotal post. No need for a clamp, gives a cleaner look.

well i shred standing up so a slammed seat is lighter and to me it looks simpler and not to mention extra style points duders

its a good idea but i heard it wasnt good for your seattube. it puts weird presser on it and plus what does a seat clamp weight an oz so i dont see that catching on.

Yeah, like I said, it's cool, but that doesn't mean it's practical.

I dont even begin to see y you posted that in here considering we were just talking about the pros and cons of a frame setup...

That's what it may seem like, my dear friend. Fortunately for you guys, there's this man who does "housecleaning" everyday to make these forums decent...

i like the idea of a built in seat post. i might buy it. but only if the seat is COMPLETELY slammed. thats how i like my bike. as low tech and simple as possible ( hence no brakes, no pegs, and almost no seatpost).
