Foo - Is pricepoint.com reliable?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Has anyone dealt with pricepoint.com? I'm looking to purchase something on there that's a wee bit pricy, and since this is my first time, I'm just feeling a bit nervous. Are these people reliable? How fast do they ship? How are the products? How is their customer service?
Thanks for any responses.

Heard some not too nice things about them on the old cyclery website. That was a couple of years ago, however.
I've ordered from them a few times with no problems. However, I prefer Jensonusa.com. On phone orders the people at pricepoint could not answer direct questions about their products, did not seem like they rode, or even cared about riding. Jenson was giving advice - telling me what products seem to do well, and others that are returned often. Plus, they would always throw in a freebee.
Does Jensonusa give you good deals then or do you just find they have better customer service, in your opinion?

If you are nervous about dealing with a new vendor, try calling your favorite mail order house and see if they price match. Most of them do.

IMHO...Jenson sucks HARD. A while back, they charged my credit card for twice the amount for 2 pr of socks I ordered. 30 days pass...NOTHING. I call. No record of purchase. I re-order and cancel the first. So they charge me twice again. Either their credit card machines ahve really tiny buttons, or they are greedy, fat-fingered theives. They get a perpetual thumbs-down from me. (yes the situation was finally resolved 60 days later, and I still have the finance fees on my credit card...at first they still wanted to charge me shipping! For something I never even recieved...amatuers).
Pricepoint is mediocre. My fave: SPEEDGOAT! Then Cambria.
All others can die...or just not bother me. Whichever one works best for them

I've had good luck, prices, and experience with both pricepoint and jensonusa. I wouldn't be scared to order something pricy from pricepoint.

i have had people bring in some really poorly "handbuilt" wheels from price point. Two pair were not even tensioned. They were, maybe, finger tight.

I had the same issue with universal cycles several years back. I learned that hand built wheels a best left to the LBS (or learn to do it yourself).
I've had good luck with pricepoint and jenson, but I definately prefer Jenson. They are extremely quick at shipping! They also just opened up a LBS over in ontario I believe it is, so not just mail order anymore. Next time I get out that way will definately stop in.
I've had no problems in my dealings with Price Point. I've bought a wheel set, Avid Mechs, XT front dérailleur., etc etc and have had no complaints about any of the products I've received.
Man, be careful using pricewatch...their website is unsecured...my debit card info went out to some criminal right after using pricewatch...BUYER BEWARE!
If you don't see the little padlock in the address bar and the letters https, its not secure. Don't do what I did.

That said, I'm not a real fan of pricepoint.
Now priceline, I do love to get some more of that William Shatner. Not sure what I'm going to do now that Boston Legal is done.
