Great film, almost as good as the first Spider-Man. I grew up reading the comic, and the characters were done very well. I like that they made a lot of use of Pepper.

The movie armor was awesome.

I don't know if anyone noticed but me, but when Potts stole and was downloading Stane's (Bridges) computer chip-thingy, there was a file called "Misc. Lebowski." :) Great movie, and apparently Downey is supposed to make a cameo as Tony Stark in the new Hulk movie, setting the stage for the Avengers movie they are planning. If you haven't seen it yet, stay 'til the end of the credits.

RDJ was surprisingly awesome in this movie. Always knew he had talent....he did a great job as Tony Stark. Can't wait until the sequel.

Agreed. And Robert Downey Jr absolutely MADE the film. He owned that character, especially in the last scene with the press conference.

I never heard they were considering Tom Cruise. Wow, would that have sucked!

Tom Cruise would've worked, too. I mean, he's a nut, but he can also act, and since Iron Man is sort of a nuts super-hero, with the alcoholism and such, it makes sense to cast a sort of slightly damaged person in the role. RDJ was pretty awesome and perfect, though.
