The seat on the eastern i just picked up is completely slammed and i dont think i have enough pole to get it to a reasonable height. I like to ride for miles and miles... and standing is making my back hurt and my wrists really really sore... and that only after a 5 mile ride... anyone know a good seat setup for nice long bmx rides... i mean i can drive to the places i bike... but most of the fun for me is exploring the trails by my house here in the pines there are so many trails... i guess i should just buy a mt. bike... but there is always random jumps in the woods and good finds that make bmxing so much fun for me... any ideas guys... i know this is a pretty noob question... will my wrists just stop hurting???

just get used to it. it might take a while, but you will eventually. at first, i used to ride with my seat about 8 miles in the air. now i ride it slammed. it only took about 2 days to get used to it. you will eventually.

You can have the bottom of the seat post about half an inch under the clamp. Also, you have a ton of parts, switch to a new seatpost.

problem is the clamp is midway down the seat post on the frame

That's why I said 1/2 an inch, so it still has room to clamp the post and you have the required about of post in the tube (on the post should be a ring of marks about 4 in. from the bottom. If you can see these marks when the post is installed, it's too high up). And like I said, you can always trade posts.
