If you've ever been to a tandem rally and wondered where everyone got that stylish, white tandem image affixed to their window, chances are it was from me. I still have a few of these stylish tandem window transfers (aka. decals) left over from my '03 buy which, coincidentally, will be my last....

The information is here: http://home.att.net/~mark.livingood/Decals/Decalinfo.html

I ended up offering these by accident. I went looking for two of these decals for use on our own vehicles and ended up having to buy in mass quantity to get them. We thought this was a neat and subtle way of letting folks know what those unusual roof racks were for and that we rode together.

Regards,
Mark

Note to Moderators: I posted this here because this is most likely of interest to the smaller tandem cyclist audience.

We got some from you awhile back, love how they look on the mini-van.
Is there somewhere else to get them if we need them in the future?

Probably right here. It will take several months before my inventory is fully depleted.

However, I believe you'll soon see other designs coming on the market. In fact, there is a gal in Ohio (Sue) who has designed a new decal, there is a gentleman in the tandem rack biz. who has been working on a new design for about a year, there is another gentleman who has a home-based tandem dealership offering yet another design, and some of the major home-based tandem dealers may also be offering up a decal in the near future (at least I suspect they will given what I've learned from my vendor).

I am reluctant to go head-to-head with the current decal design -- even though it is perhaps one of the nicest -- because I do not own the copyright. If, after seeing what the market and new decals look like I think the new offerings come up short on appeal, quality, or value I may come up with a new design, a new vendor, and jump back in the game.

My original goal was to obtain two decals. I unintentionally ended up becoming a source but that was OK; at least they were available again. So, at the end of the day, there will still be decals available and this time buyers will have alternatives -- something I wish I had a few years back.

How do we go about obtaining a couple of them from you?

Mark, the decals look great! However, we ride a tandem recumbent. Any idea where I can get a decal which better depicts the Double Vision geometry? Or will I have to design my own? Thanks.

Mark, thanks for jogging my memory with this post. I had intended to order a couple of these a couple of months ago, just never got around to it. Now, as they say, the check is in the mail.

This is why I'm not in the tandem biz... I'd give away too much potential business.

You can check with Arly Aronson as he has been offering some different designs that include recumbent tandems. For some strange reason he does not have any pictures of the decals up on the net, but he will Email images and his price list upon request: arlyn@superiortandems.com

You might also send a note to Susan Collins to see if she'd be interested in creating an image that is closer to your tandem's profile:

Finally, Charlie Buchalter at ATOC (Tandem Topper) will be introducing a new design -- still similar to the one that I have been offering -- in a variety of configurations, e.g., personal bike, tandem, recumbent, etc...
