First local race of the year.
Thursday the 8th is TT night.
12 miles out and back twice. One out is rollers the other a nasty climb.
Time see how a fat guy on the 20 lb cross bike stacks up.
29:25 won it last year 46:21 was DFL
My goal is to finish and I'm hoping for not DFL. We'll see what good spending the winter on the trainer has done.

Good luck!
I spent the winter on the trainer (really didn't start "training" as compared to "going for rides" until about November) and I think I could beat the DFL time from last year (unless the nasty climb is harder than one mile at 6% or so) :D. I think you'll do fine!
I probably couldn't beat the winning time even if it were pancake flat :D
Go get'em

The one thing I learned this weekend is that the climbing loop that flat kicked my butt last year is way easier now. I'm dragging a little bit less up it this year though.
Is it worth moving my saddle forward and up on a climbing TT?

No idea what placing I ended up in but 42 starters
Erik B time 40:44:63
Erik B :wifey: time 40:46:74
Goal Achieved:)
I passed 2 people was passed by more than 2.
Average HR 164
Screwed up on my last split so I didn't up the ante until a little to late ended up with a little left on the table. :wifey: puked in her mouth a little so I think she was probably pushing just a little to hard.

And you beat the wife too so that's even better.

And you beat the wife too so that means you're not completely whipped yet
Fixed.

Not being DFL was the goal.
Being faster than the wife on a hilly course was the icing on the cake.
I have significantly more gravity than she does.
 They still have not posted the results.

She took losing to me much better than I would have. Although there weren't a whole lot of people slower than me, I was much closer to the average pace than DFL pace. At this point that's acceptable.
Next year will be better.:thumb:
