Anyone riding this one on Memorial Day?

I'm aiming to finish the century (7000+ of climbing) but I don't know how slow I'll be going since I'm doing a double metric only 9 days previous. :eek:

Kasia & I are planning to do it, but "only" the 40 mile/7 hill/3000 foot route ;).

I'm thinking of doing the "short" route, but riding to/from the start/finish line, which would give me 75-ish miles for the day.

I'm looking for a really wonderful place for a pre-ride breakfast in either Bellevue or Kirkland. I'm not sure if Chace's Pancake Corral in Bellevue is open on holidays, but that's my current plan: Ride. Pancakes. Ride 7 Hills. Pie. Home.

If somebody has a better breakfast idea, let me know. Must have good breakfast on a holiday.

The Brown Bag Cafe (http://www.brownbagcafes.com/) is one of my favorite breakfast places. They recently closed their Redmond location (pity), but the Kirkland location is still open.

Looks like a good recommendation; however, I'll be riding up toward the start from the South (through Bellevue), so am looking for something near BDB (Beautiful Downtown Bellevue) or downtown Kirkland.

Chace's is a perfect location but if they're open I'm sure they'll be busy (as always).

Not sure about on the way there, but for the way back (if they're open on the holiday) my fave places in Bellevue are
- Cucina de Puerco (Mexican)
- Porcella Market (French / Euro charcuterie)
- Zizo Market (Lebanese)
- Can't remember the name, but the French bakery next to Cucina is awesome.

How about Original Pancake House in Kirkland Parkplace?
I like that a lot more than Chace's.

Slightly off topic, but...

We should arrange a group ride around North King and South Snohomish Counties, with a breakfast stop at the Maltby Cafe (http://www.maltbycafe.com/main.htm). Best breakfast anywhere.
