I got a longsleeve turtleneck coldgear jersey a week ago and it blows away my Louis Garneau cycling clothes. They don't make cycling clothes yet but I guess it's really popular with football and hockey players.Has anyone else tried this stuff? What do you think?

Yeah I use it. It's really warm. All the players on the soccer team get it free so I use it to ride in also.

I have a long sleeve cold gear shirt and a short sleeve warm gear shirt. The cold gear one, in sub freezing temps I swear I can put that on and a tshirt over it and be warm the entire time Im outside running or shoveling snow or what not. The warm gear I found still keeps you warm in hot weather (of course AZ summers might be an extreme!) I actually wear the warm gear under my jersey on cold AZ mornings and it works great keeping me warm, wicking away sweat, and regulating body temp. In other words, Ive tried it and I like it!

I have what I think is an "All-Season Gear" long sleeve top. It's incredibly comfortable and seems to work well when riding, but I gotta say that I don't really like it....could be user error, but as soon as I stop exercising, I get REALLY cold, much more so than with any of my other performance tops.

Any one else have this issue? Maybe I should try a Cold Gear top. My Cold Gear bottoms seems to work as advertised (though I'm not sure how different they are from other lycra tights).

Good equipment. I wear it for just about all my workouts. I used to only use it while playing football but now it is an every day item. very comfortable and keeps me warm for my morning runs.

One of the best places to buy it is at eastbay.com
I just bought 4 shirts from them for 19bucks a piece. Just so you know, the NFL under garments are the exact same. I know that Rebook makes the NFL equipment and I believe they also make the Under Armor equipment.

Yeah, the Under Armour gear is awesome. I'm hoping they'll come out with a more cycling-specific line. I use their heat gear compression shorts while playing racquetball or otherwise working out. Haven't tried any of their cold gear products, but I might give the shirts a look - would be nice under my jersey on those really cold mornings...

I use the regular long sleeve fitting shirts as a base coat when it's cold. Next is a thin wool sweater followed by a windbraker with the 6 and 1 that Nashbar makes (which is great around the neck).

Under Armour is totally happening and inexpensive when compared to a lot of the overpriced boutique bike stuff they kick out. Great stuff :)

ADDED: The XL size is misleading and actually a nice tight fit for me and I weight 175lbs and am tall. Most XL sizes are for 200 pounders and up.

Regards.

Hey, you know that stuff was invented by a guy from Baltimore, Maryland? he went to University of Maryland, College Park, where he was a walk-on to the football team. apparently, when he was working out, he noticed that the compression shorts he wore didn't get soaked and heavy with sweat like his cotten t-shirt (It gets very hot and humid here in MD) and he set out to make a shirt out of the material. For the first iteration of his heat gear he scored a bunch of fabric from a lingere (sp?) manufacturer, and sewed it a bunch of it into shirts that he passed out to the team. I suppose it went from there, it seems like pretty high-tech stuff.

I have a cold-gear turtlneck that I wear under my jersey, and it is pretty nice. I like the heat gear to wear under my running singlet to prevent nipple chafage, since the geniuses that designed the tank tops we wear decided to put the silk-screened name of our school right ontop of the nipular area (think about it), resulting in bleeding, painful nipples by then end of a race. plus it looks cool, and the officials don't give me greif...
